Updated October 2026. Cardiology is a small search market with a big price tag per patient. Across 18 deduplicated Singapore cardiology keywords, the volume-weighted top-of-page bid is S$14.18. That ranks cardiology #7 of the 20 verticals in our Singapore Medical CPC Index. The single most important keyword, “cardiologist singapore”, gets 1,600 searches a month and tops out at S$18.08 a click.

The data comes straight from the Google Ads API (Keyword Planner, Singapore, English) and is refreshed every month by Marketing Agency Singapore. Below: what each type of cardiology search costs to advertise, the most expensive individual terms, how demand moves through the year, and what heart clinics can and can’t say in their ads.

Cardiology CPC by search type

Keywords grouped by what the patient is looking for, with bids weighted by search volume. A keyword searched 1,600 times counts for more than one searched 30 times.

Volume-weighted averages across 18 deduplicated keywords. October 2026 snapshot.
Treatment / service Keywords Searches / mo Top-of-page bid (low–high) Most-searched keyword
Cardiologist searches 9 2,700 S$4.91–S$16.45 cardiologist singapore
Heart screening & ECG 8 930 S$1.86–S$7.16 echocardiogram singapore

Three things explain the pattern:

  • The specialist search is the money search. Patients who type “cardiologist singapore” or “heart specialist singapore” (S$17.02) have usually already been told to see one, by a GP, a screening report or a worrying symptom. They are close to booking a consultation that often leads to tests and follow-ups, so private cardiology practices bid hard for them.
  • Tests are cheaper to buy. Searches for individual investigations, such as “ecg singapore” (S$5.75) and “echocardiogram singapore” (S$8.05), sit lower. Many of them come from people comparing prices or checking what a test involves, and health-screening providers compete for the same terms.
  • Few searches, many bidders. Private cardiologists cluster around Novena, Mount Elizabeth, Gleneagles and Farrer Park, alongside hospital groups. When dozens of practices chase a few thousand monthly searches, the top-of-page price rises quickly.

The most expensive cardiology keywords in Singapore

Keywords with 50+ monthly searches in Singapore, ranked by high top-of-page bid. October 2026.
Keyword Searches / mo Low bid High bid Competition
cardiothoracic surgeon singapore 110 S$2.84 S$20.53 Medium
cardiologist singapore 1,600 S$5.21 S$18.08 Medium
singapore heart doctor 480 S$6.01 S$17.02 High
best heart doctor in singapore 90 S$4.20 S$12.55 Medium
best cardiologist in singapore 260 S$3.66 S$10.51 Medium
echocardiogram singapore 480 S$2.10 S$8.05 Low
heart check up singapore 110 S$2.05 S$7.61 High
top cardiologist singapore 50 S$2.15 S$7.32 Medium
paediatric cardiologist singapore 50 S$1.57 S$7.20 High
ecg singapore 170 S$1.46 S$5.75 Low
ecg singapore cost 50 S$1.25 S$5.01 Medium

The top of the table is surgical and specialist: “cardiothoracic surgeon singapore” (S$20.53) and the head terms for cardiologists and heart doctors. Ranking-style searches such as “best cardiologist in singapore” (S$10.51) are cheaper per click. They come earlier in the decision, and as covered below, clinics can’t answer them with “best” in their ad copy anyway.

“coronary angiogram singapore” has too few searches to make the table (20 a month), but still carries a top-of-page bid of S$16.17. Procedure searches are rare and valuable, which is typical of high-acuity specialties.

Cardiology demand doesn’t follow the consumer calendar the way dental or aesthetics does. It dips around Chinese New Year and tends to firm up after year-end, when patients act on health-screening results and employer or insurance benefits renew. Campaign budgets and content updates should be ready for those months, not reacting to them.

Cardiology searches Google won’t show data for

We check the core cardiology terms by exact match every month:

Cardiology searches Google won't show data for — Cardiology Google Ads CPC in Singapore: October 2026 Data
Search term Keyword Planner, October 2026
cardiologist singapore 1,600 searches, S$5.21–S$18.08
heart specialist singapore 480 searches, S$6.01–S$17.02
ecg singapore 170 searches, S$1.46–S$5.75
coronary angiogram singapore 20 searches, S$6.01–S$16.17

Unlike LASIK, IVF or psychiatry, the core cardiology terms are reported normally, so heart clinics can at least size the paid market. What Keyword Planner can’t show is the much larger informational demand around symptoms, which is where most patients start.

What patients search vs what your cardiology ads can say

Cardiology practices are licensees under the Healthcare Services Act, so their advertising falls under the HCS (Advertisement) Regulations 2021 as well as the Singapore Medical Council’s ethical code. Patients search for rankings:

These are the words patients type. Under the HCS (Advertisement) Regulations, a licensee’s ad copy cannot repeat most of them.
Searcher modifier Keywords Searches / mo Avg high bid Examples
“best” 3 380 S$12.36 best cardiologist in singapore, best heart doctor in singapore, best heart surgeon in singapore
“top” 1 50 S$7.32 top cardiologist singapore

“Top [specialty] doctor”, “best”, “leading” and “highly experienced” all appear on MOH’s list of terms likely to be treated as laudatory. They’re prohibited in a licensee’s advertising even when they’re true. For cardiology campaigns that means:

  • No dynamic keyword insertion on “best” and “top” ad groups. A headline that becomes “Best Cardiologist Singapore” is a laudatory claim the moment it serves.
  • No time promises or results claims. “Same-day heart screening results” or “know your risk in 30 minutes” can read as unjustified expectations. Describe what the test involves instead.
  • No unnamed comparisons. MOH’s November 2024 FAQ confirms that implying other clinics are slower or less thorough counts as a comparison even if no one is named.
  • No promotions. “Complimentary ECG with consultation”, package discounts and “from $X” pricing count as soliciting. Exact prices with no prefix are fine.
  • Reviews stay organic. Patients can review you on Google or post directly to your pages. Reproducing those reviews in ads, or incentivising them, isn’t allowed.

MOH’s FAQ also says SEO “is not considered as advertising”, while SEM is governed by the regulations. Your website still has to comply, but a cardiologist can rank organically for “best cardiologist in singapore” without ever claiming to be the best.

Ads vs SEO for a cardiology practice

If one practice ranked first organically for every keyword in this dataset, the clicks would be worth roughly S$8,371 a month in equivalent Google Ads spend. That understates the opportunity, because the bigger cardiology search market is informational: symptoms, test explanations and risk factors that Keyword Planner doesn’t price as commercial terms.

Ads vs SEO for a cardiology practice — Cardiology Google Ads CPC in Singapore: October 2026 Data

That’s what our Harley Street Heart & Vascular Centre engagement showed. The site ranked well for informational queries such as “heart palpitations after eating” (around 13,000 searches a month) but was nearly invisible for the commercial terms that fill consultation slots. After a focused programme, “cardiologist singapore” moved from unranked to position 5, and all five commercial targets reached page one within eight months. At this month’s top-of-page range, that one keyword is a S$18.08 click.

A practical split for most cardiology practices:

  • Google Ads for the specialist and procedure terms, with factual landing pages listing qualifications, investigations offered and exact fees.
  • SEO for symptoms and tests: palpitations, chest pain, ECG and echocardiogram explainers that lead patients to the consultation page.

The highest single-keyword forecast is “heart specialist singapore” at S$25.22. Forecast CPCs run above today’s top-of-page range because they model an advertiser who outbids the field for the top position.

Methodology

How this index is built. Every month we pull Google Ads Keyword Planner data through the Google Ads API for Singapore (English, Google Search network). We seed each medical vertical with its core treatment terms, then:

  • Collapse close variants. Keyword Planner reports “boob job singapore” and “breast implant singapore” with identical numbers. We count them once.
  • Drop navigational searches. Clinic and hospital brand names are excluded, along with anything under 30 searches a month.
  • Report the top-of-page bid range (low and high) in SGD. Our headline “CPC” is the volume-weighted high end: what it typically takes to show above the organic results.
  • Probe restricted terms by exact match to record where Google withholds data or gives no bid estimate.

Top-of-page bids are Google’s forecasts, not any one clinic’s actual cost per click. Quality Score, ad schedule, device and competition on the day move real CPCs above or below this range. Use the index to compare treatments and verticals, not to set a single bid.
