Updated October 2026. Vascular and vein care is the clearest example of a tiny search market with a very high price. Only 3 deduplicated keywords clear our volume threshold, yet they average S$35.08 at the top of Google’s bid range. On paper that ranks vascular #1 of the 20 verticals in our Singapore Medical CPC Index. In practice it’s a handful of searches carrying a lot of weight, so treat the ranking as indicative.

The data comes straight from the Google Ads API (Keyword Planner, Singapore, English) and is refreshed every month by Marketing Agency Singapore.

Treatment / service Keywords Searches / mo Top-of-page bid (low–high) Most-searched keyword
Varicose veins 2 240 S$6.39–S$33.93 varicose vein treatment singapore

Varicose veins dominate the paid market. “varicose vein treatment singapore” gets only 170 searches a month, but its top-of-page bid reaches S$37.14. “vein clinic singapore” is searched even less, at S$42.00. Three things explain prices this high:

  • Procedure intent. Someone searching for varicose vein treatment usually wants a procedure, such as ablation, sealing or sclerotherapy, not just advice. Each case is worth thousands of dollars to a private practice.
  • Few searches, determined bidders. Vascular surgeons and vein clinics compete for a few hundred searches a month in total. When volume is that low, a few aggressive advertisers set the price.
  • Self-referral. Unlike most specialist care, many vein patients refer themselves, often for symptoms they’ve lived with for years. Search is how they find a provider.

The most expensive vascular keywords in Singapore — Vascular & Vein Google Ads CPC in Singapore: October 2026 Data

Volumes are small enough that month-to-month swings are mostly noise. The steady pattern is the important one: a small, persistent pool of high-intent patients.

What your vein clinic ads can say

Vascular practices are licensees under the Healthcare Services Act, so their advertising falls under the HCS (Advertisement) Regulations 2021 and the Singapore Medical Council’s ethical code. Vein treatment sits close to cosmetic medicine, which makes a few rules especially relevant:

  • No before-and-after photos of legs or veins in advertising, even with a disclaimer. They can only be shown to a patient during a consultation on the premises.
  • No time-bound results promises, such as “walk out in an hour” or “clear veins in one session”.
  • No laudatory terms, including “best”, “leading”, “most advanced” and “minimally invasive gold standard”.
  • No promotions or reproduced testimonials. Exact prices with no prefix are fine; discounts, packages and “free assessment” offers are not.

MOH’s FAQ says SEO “is not considered as advertising”, while SEM is governed by the regulations. Factual condition and procedure pages are where vein clinics can explain options in depth.

Ads vs SEO for a vein clinic

If one practice ranked first organically for every keyword in this dataset, the clicks would be worth roughly S$1,456 a month in equivalent Google Ads spend. That sounds small, but at these click prices even one organic top position on “varicose vein treatment singapore” saves meaningful ad spend every month. The other half of the opportunity is symptom content (leg heaviness, swelling, visible veins) that reaches patients before they search for a treatment by name.

Methodology

How this index is built. Every month we pull Google Ads Keyword Planner data through the Google Ads API for Singapore (English, Google Search network). We seed each medical vertical with its core treatment terms, then:

  • Collapse close variants. Keyword Planner reports “boob job singapore” and “breast implant singapore” with identical numbers. We count them once.
  • Drop navigational searches. Clinic and hospital brand names are excluded, along with anything under 30 searches a month.
  • Report the top-of-page bid range (low and high) in SGD. Our headline “CPC” is the volume-weighted high end: what it typically takes to show above the organic results.
  • Probe restricted terms by exact match to record where Google withholds data or gives no bid estimate.

Top-of-page bids are Google’s forecasts, not any one clinic’s actual cost per click. Quality Score, ad schedule, device and competition on the day move real CPCs above or below this range. Use the index to compare treatments and verticals, not to set a single bid.
