Last updated: October 2026. Singapore’s three best-known business grants for marketing and digital projects have closed. The Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG), the Enterprise Development Grant (EDG) and Market Readiness Assistance (MRA) stopped accepting new applications on 29 September 2026. From 30 September 2026, businesses apply for support under a single new scheme, the EDGE Grant, administered by Enterprise Singapore.

This guide explains what the EDGE Grant is, how much support it offers, who qualifies, how to apply, and what the change means if you were planning a marketing, digital or overseas-expansion project. Everything here is taken from Enterprise Singapore’s own EDGE Grant page and EDGE Grant FAQ.

What Is the EDGE Grant?

The EDGE Grant is Enterprise Singapore’s consolidated grant for Singapore companies starting new projects to upgrade capabilities, improve efficiency and expand overseas. Enterprise Singapore describes it as streamlining EDG, MRA and PSG into a single grant. It launched on 30 September 2026.

Instead of three separate schemes with their own rules, EDGE is organised around business areas and activities. The official page lists 8 business areas and over 150 eligible activities, with areas including:

  • Automation & Digitalisation
  • Business Strategy
  • Financial Management
  • Innovation
  • Internationalisation
  • Standards
  • Sustainability

Each activity has its own page on the Enterprise Singapore website with its own support level and conditions, and its own link to apply. That is the most important practical change: rather than asking “does PSG or EDG fit my project?”, you now look for the EDGE activity that matches what you want to do.

What Happened to PSG, EDG and MRA?

All three schemes ceased on 29 September 2026. After 30 September 2026, Enterprise Singapore accepts no new applications under PSG, EDG or MRA.

What Happened to PSG, EDG and MRA? — EDGE Grant Singapore: What Replaced PSG, EDG and MRA (2026)

Projects that were already submitted or under way are not affected. Enterprise Singapore says ongoing PSG, EDG and MRA submissions and projects will continue to be processed, and you can submit your claim through the Business Grants Portal (BGP) when the project is complete.

Two further points matter if you used the old schemes:

  • Your past grant use does not count against EDGE. The EDGE FAQ states that the new cap does not take into account previous grant utilisation under EDG, MRA and PSG.
  • EDGE is for new projects. You cannot move an existing PSG, EDG or MRA project into EDGE, and EDGE does not support projects retrospectively.

If you are researching the old schemes for a project that is already approved, our guides to the PSG grant for digital marketing, the Enterprise Development Grant and Market Readiness Assistance still explain how those schemes worked.

How Much Support Does EDGE Give?

Support levels depend on the activity, so always check the specific activity page. The headline levels in the official FAQ are:

Type of activity SMEs Non-SMEs
Most EDGE activities Up to 50% Up to 30%
Internationalisation and sustainability activities Up to 70% Up to 50%

The annual cap

Each company can receive up to S$100,000 in EDGE support per year across all eligible activities. The cap runs from 1 April to 31 March and resets each year on 1 April.

Within that S$100,000, there is a S$30,000 sub-cap for single-function digital solutions. The FAQ applies the same sub-cap to integrated enterprise systems and pre-scoped equipment. In practice this means software-style tools, the kind of purchase PSG used to fund, can use at most S$30,000 of a company’s yearly EDGE allowance. The rest is available for activities such as internationalisation, strategy or sustainability projects.

How the money is paid

EDGE is paid on a reimbursement basis after the activity is completed and fully paid for. There are no cash advances, and EDGE accepts a single, final claim per project. Expenses for projects that are terminated before completion are not claimable. Plan your cash flow on the assumption that you will pay vendors in full first and be reimbursed later.

Who Is Eligible?

According to the EDGE FAQ, applicants must be:

  • Registered in Singapore as a business entity. EDGE does not support non-profits or similar entities.
  • At least 30% owned by Singapore citizens and/or Singapore permanent residents.
  • Starting a new project. Work that has already begun or been paid for cannot be funded retrospectively.

To receive the higher SME support levels, a company must meet the SME definition: group annual sales turnover of no more than S$100 million, or group employment of no more than 200 workers.

How to Apply

  1. Find the matching activity. Browse the activities on the EDGE Grant page and read the activity page for its support level and conditions.
  2. Get your quotations before you commit. Because EDGE does not fund work retrospectively, apply before you sign up or pay for the project.
  3. Set up Corppass roles. Applications are submitted through the Business Grants Portal by staff with the Corppass roles of BGP Preparer and BGP Acceptor.
  4. Apply through the activity’s BGP link. Each activity page links to the right application form on the Business Grants Portal.
  5. Complete the project, pay in full, then claim. Submit one final claim with your supporting documents for reimbursement.

If you have not used the portal before, our guide to the Business Grants Portal walks through accounts and Corppass access.

Pre-Approved Vendors and Solutions

PSG worked through a directory of pre-approved solutions and vendors. EDGE handles vendors differently depending on the activity:

  • Integrated systems (such as ERP packages): you may choose a package from Enterprise Singapore’s pre-approved vendors, which applies to pre-packaged solutions with at least three core functions. The FAQ notes that applications using a pre-approved vendor take about 1 week to process, against about 10 weeks for a non-pre-approved vendor.
  • Single-function digital solutions: Enterprise Singapore describes these as pre-approved digital solutions designed for specific functions, and the FAQ points businesses to IMDA’s SMEs Go Digital platform to browse vendors and solutions.
  • Everything else: where an activity does not require a pre-approved vendor, you can engage a vendor of your choice.

Check the activity page before you shortlist vendors. Whether a pre-approved vendor is required is the single biggest factor in how quickly an application is processed.

What EDGE Means for Marketing Projects

Most of our readers come to grants with a marketing project in mind: a new website, an e-commerce store, a digital campaign, a rebrand or an overseas launch. Here is what the official EDGE material does and does not tell you.

Overseas expansion and market entry

Internationalisation is one of the EDGE business areas, and internationalisation activities carry the highest support levels: up to 70% for SMEs. This is the part of EDGE that most closely replaces MRA, which used to fund overseas marketing presence, business development and market set-up. The FAQ confirms some specific rules: for overseas trade fairs, your company name or brand must be clearly displayed on the booth, and EDGE will not support trade fairs that already receive support under Enterprise Singapore’s LEAD programme. For market-entry IP, the trademark, logo or patent must be owned by the grant applicant.

For the full list of internationalisation activities and what each one covers, such as overseas marketing or market entry, check the Internationalisation activity pages on the EDGE site. If you are planning a regional launch, our APAC marketing team can help you scope the campaign so it lines up with a fundable activity.

Digital tools, websites and e-commerce

Under PSG, many SMEs funded website builds, e-commerce stores and digital marketing packages through pre-approved solutions. Under EDGE, software-type purchases fall under Automation & Digitalisation, where single-function digital solutions are subject to the S$30,000 sub-cap.

EDGE combines what PSG, EDG and MRA used to fund, so the kinds of marketing tools, website and e-commerce solutions PSG supported now sit under Automation & Digitalisation, within the S$30,000 sub-cap for single-function solutions. Check the activity page and IMDA’s SMEs Go Digital listings for the support level and qualifying solutions.

Branding and marketing strategy

EDG used to support branding and marketing strategy projects. EDGE has a Business Strategy business area, but the official pages we reviewed do not set out a branding or marketing activity in detail. If a rebrand or marketing strategy project is your goal, read the Business Strategy activity pages or ask Enterprise Singapore through its Business Advisors before you start.

What to do now

  • Already approved under PSG, EDG or MRA? Carry on. Complete the project and submit your claim through BGP as normal.
  • Planning a new project? Find the matching EDGE activity first, confirm the support level and vendor rules, then get quotations.
  • Combining several projects in a year? Plan them against the S$100,000 annual cap and the S$30,000 digital sub-cap, and remember that the cap resets each 1 April.

Whether or not your project qualifies for a grant, it pays to plan the marketing properly. Our guide to digital marketing grants in Singapore covers the wider funding landscape, and our digital marketing services team can help you scope a project and its budget.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is PSG still available in Singapore?

No. The Productivity Solutions Grant stopped accepting new applications on 29 September 2026, along with the Enterprise Development Grant and Market Readiness Assistance. New applications go through the EDGE Grant from 30 September 2026. Projects already submitted under PSG continue to be processed.

What replaced the PSG grant?

The EDGE Grant. Enterprise Singapore describes it as streamlining EDG, MRA and PSG into a single grant covering 8 business areas and over 150 activities, with support of up to 50% for SMEs, up to 70% for internationalisation and sustainability activities, and a cap of S$100,000 per company per year.

Can I still claim my PSG, EDG or MRA project?

Yes. Enterprise Singapore says ongoing submissions and projects under the three schemes will continue to be processed, and you can submit your claim through the Business Grants Portal when the project is complete.

Does the EDGE Grant cover digital marketing or website development?

Yes, in the same way the old schemes did. EDGE brings together the kinds of projects PSG, EDG and MRA used to fund, so digital and website solutions fall under Automation & Digitalisation (single-function solutions capped at S$30,000), branding and marketing strategy work under Business Strategy, and overseas promotion under Internationalisation, all within the S$100,000 annual cap. Ongoing ad spend is not funded. Check the activity page for the support level before you commit.

How much can a company get under EDGE each year?

Up to S$100,000 per company per year across all eligible activities, counted from 1 April to 31 March. Within that, no more than S$30,000 can go to single-function digital solutions.

Does my previous PSG or EDG funding reduce my EDGE cap?

No. The EDGE FAQ states that the new grant cap does not take into account previous grant utilisation under EDG, MRA and PSG.

Who can apply for the EDGE Grant?

Singapore-registered businesses with at least 30% Singaporean and/or Singapore PR ownership, applying for a new project. SMEs, meaning group turnover of no more than S$100 million or no more than 200 workers, receive the higher support levels.
