Updated October 2026. Plastic surgery is one of the smallest medical verticals in Singapore by search volume and one of the most expensive to advertise. Across 28 deduplicated keywords, the volume-weighted top-of-page bid is S$24.70. That ranks #2 of 15 in our Singapore Medical CPC Index, at 3.8× the cost of a dental click. The priciest procedure group this month is Tummy tuck, at S$42.27.

The figures come straight from the Google Ads API (Keyword Planner, Singapore, English) and are refreshed every month. Below: what each procedure costs to advertise, the most expensive individual searches, when demand peaks, the searches Google won’t give you data for, and why before-and-after photos change the whole ads-versus-SEO calculation.

Plastic surgery CPC by procedure

Keywords grouped by procedure, with bids weighted by search volume. A keyword searched 700 times a month counts for more than one searched 50 times.

Volume-weighted averages across 28 deduplicated keywords. October 2026 snapshot.
Treatment / service Keywords Searches / mo Top-of-page bid (low–high) Most-searched keyword
Tummy tuck 2 260 S$4.25–S$42.27 tummy tuck singapore
Breast augmentation 4 670 S$7.49–S$40.41 boob job singapore
Double eyelid & blepharoplasty 4 490 S$5.63–S$28.13 double eyelid surgery singapore
Eye bag removal 8 800 S$5.37–S$21.15 eye bag removal singapore
Liposuction 6 1,300 S$4.50–S$16.77 lipo singapore
Breast reduction 2 280 S$2.02–S$12.25 breast reduction singapore

Three things drive the order:

  • Case value. Elective surgery is self-pay and typically runs to five figures. A surgeon who converts one patient in a few hundred clicks can still afford a bid that would bankrupt a GP clinic. That is why “tummy tuck singapore” sits at S$47.69 and “breast augmentation singapore” at S$45.93.
  • A small, concentrated field. Most private plastic surgery practices cluster around Orchard, Novena and the Mount Elizabeth and Gleneagles medical centres. With so few searches to go round, a handful of practices bidding on the same terms is enough to hold prices high.
  • Volume and price don’t line up. Liposuction gets the most searches (“lipo singapore”, 720 a month) but bids lower than breast and abdominal surgery. Eye bag removal and double eyelid surgery sit in between: popular, comparatively affordable procedures with many providers, including aesthetic doctors offering non-surgical alternatives.

double eyelid surgery singapore price 90 S$3.65 S$16.58 Medium
best breast surgeon in singapore 50 S$4.34 S$16.22 High

The list is dominated by procedure-plus-Singapore searches: the patient already knows what they want and is choosing where to have it done. Notice the gap between the procedure term and its price variant. “tummy tuck singapore” is S$47.69, while “tummy tuck singapore price” is S$19.53. “double eyelid surgery singapore” is S$30.22, while the price variant is S$16.58. Price searchers convert later and less predictably, so advertisers pay less for them. They are also the people a well-written cost page captures organically.

Some of these searchers are overseas. Singapore has long drawn medical tourists from the region, and procedure-plus-Singapore searches from Indonesia or Malaysia don’t appear in this Singapore-only data. Clinics that target those markets should run separate keyword research for each country.

Total monthly searches for the tracked plastic surgery keywords. Peak: October 2025 (5,160); low: December 2025 (3,430).

Demand for elective surgery tends to track leave and recovery time. Patients plan procedures around school holidays and the year-end break, when they can take two or three weeks off. Searches typically start months before the surgery date, so research-stage content needs to be ranking well ahead of those windows. Monthly swings are also exaggerated in a vertical this small: a few hundred searches either way moves the whole curve.

Plastic surgery searches Google won’t show data for

We check the core procedure terms by exact match every month:

Plastic surgery searches Google won't show data for — Plastic Surgery Google Ads CPC in Singapore: October 2026 Data
Search term Keyword Planner, October 2026
plastic surgeon singapore No data returned
breast augmentation singapore 480 searches, S$8.00–S$45.93
liposuction singapore 720 searches, S$5.01–S$18.80
double eyelid surgery singapore 320 searches, S$5.78–S$30.22
rhinoplasty singapore No data returned

In October 2026, Keyword Planner returned no data for the broad term “plastic surgeon singapore” or for “rhinoplasty singapore”. Breast augmentation, liposuction and double eyelid surgery all returned numbers. The withheld terms are not obscure. Google doesn’t publish its reasons, but cosmetic procedures sit within the health topics where it limits targeting and data. The practical effect is that a surgeon can’t size the rhinoplasty market from Keyword Planner. Organic rankings, and Search Console data from your own site, become the most reliable demand signal.

What patients search vs what your ads can say

Plastic surgery practices in Singapore are licensees under the Healthcare Services Act, so their advertising falls under the HCS (Advertisement) Regulations 2021 and the Singapore Medical Council’s ethical code. Patients still search for the superlatives:

These are the words patients type. Under the HCS (Advertisement) Regulations, a licensee’s ad copy cannot repeat most of them.
Searcher modifier Keywords Searches / mo Avg high bid Examples
“best” 3 130 S$23.97 best breast surgeon in singapore, best double eyelid surgery singapore, best eye bag removal singapore

The rule that shapes plastic surgery marketing most is the ban on before-and-after photos. MOH’s guidance is that advertisements must not contain before-and-after (or “after” only) treatment pictures, even with a disclaimer. They can only be shown to a patient during a consultation at the clinic. For a vertical that sells visible results, that takes away the most persuasive asset most clinics would put in an ad. The rules also cover:

  • Superlatives. “Best breast surgeon”, “leading”, “most experienced” and similar laudatory terms are prohibited in a licensee’s advertising, even if true.
  • Unjustified expectations. Claims that suggest guaranteed results, or results within a set number of days, fall foul of the rules.
  • Testimonials. Organic, unpaid reviews posted directly by patients are allowed. Reproducing them in ads, or paying influencers to review a procedure, is not.
  • Price promotions. “From”, “as low as”, package discounts and time-limited offers count as soliciting. Exact prices are fine.

Bidding on “best breast surgeon in singapore” isn’t itself the problem. The risk is visible text: dynamic keyword insertion that writes “Best” into a headline, a sitelink, or a landing page with “after” photos.

Ads vs SEO for a plastic surgery practice

If one practice ranked first organically for every keyword in this dataset, the clicks would be worth roughly S$15,046 a month in equivalent Google Ads spend. That is a large sum for a vertical with only 4,450 searches in September 2026. The arithmetic of a high-CPC, low-volume market favours organic search: each click you no longer pay for is worth S$5.24–S$24.70.

Ads vs SEO for a plastic surgery practice — Plastic Surgery Google Ads CPC in Singapore: October 2026 Data

MOH’s FAQ is explicit that SEO itself “is not considered as ‘advertising’”, while paid search is “governed by the HCS (Advertisement) Regulations”. Your website content still has to comply. But detailed, factual procedure pages are something ads can’t replicate in a headline. They cover recovery time, risks, candidacy, surgeon qualifications and exact fees, which is the content a patient comparing surgeons wants. A practical split:

  • Google Ads on a narrow set of procedure terms. The procedures you most want, with plain, factual copy, exact pricing on the landing page, and dynamic keyword insertion switched off.
  • SEO for the research phase. Cost, recovery and “is it right for me” content that patients read for weeks before booking a consultation. Also terms like rhinoplasty that Keyword Planner won’t size.

Month-on-month changes

Methodology

How this index is built. Every month we pull Google Ads Keyword Planner data through the Google Ads API for Singapore (English, Google Search network). We seed each medical vertical with its core treatment terms, then:

  • Collapse close variants. Keyword Planner reports “boob job singapore” and “breast implant singapore” with identical numbers. We count them once.
  • Drop navigational searches. Clinic and hospital brand names are excluded, along with anything under 30 searches a month.
  • Report the top-of-page bid range (low and high) in SGD. Our headline “CPC” is the volume-weighted high end: what it typically takes to show above the organic results.
  • Probe restricted terms by exact match to record where Google withholds data or shows no bids.

Top-of-page bids are Google’s forecasts, not any one clinic’s actual cost per click. Quality Score, ad schedule, device and competition on the day move real CPCs above or below this range. Use the index to compare treatments and verticals, not to set a single bid.
