Updated October 2026. Neurology is one of the cheaper specialist verticals to advertise in Singapore, and the reason is how patients search. Across 11 deduplicated keywords, the volume-weighted top-of-page bid is S$7.78, ranking neurology #14 of the 20 verticals in our Singapore Medical CPC Index. A large share of the demand is people looking for lists and recommendations, not a booking.

The data comes straight from the Google Ads API (Keyword Planner, Singapore, English) and is refreshed every month by Marketing Agency Singapore. Below: what each type of neurology search costs, the most expensive individual terms, how demand moves, and what neurology practices can and can’t say in their ads.

Neurology CPC by search type

Keywords grouped by condition or service, with bids weighted by search volume. Only groups with at least 100 monthly searches are ranked, which in neurology leaves just a few.

Volume-weighted averages across 11 deduplicated keywords. October 2026 snapshot.
Treatment / service Keywords Searches / mo Top-of-page bid (low–high) Most-searched keyword
Headache & migraine 3 200 S$1.94–S$7.99 migraine specialist singapore
Neurologist & neurosurgeon searches 6 1,480 S$1.84–S$7.78 neurologist singapore

Two things explain the pattern:

  • Symptoms beat specialties. Patients with headaches, migraines or dizziness search for the symptom first. Condition-led terms such as “migraine specialist singapore” (S$7.65) and “headache specialist singapore” (S$7.18) are priced close to the specialist head term, because they carry similar intent.
  • Recommendations, not bookings. “top 10 neurologist in singapore” (260 searches) and “recommended neurologist singapore” (170) are research searches. Advertisers bid less for them, at S$4.00 and S$7.01 respectively.

The most expensive neurology keywords in Singapore

Keywords with 50+ monthly searches in Singapore, ranked by high top-of-page bid. October 2026.
Keyword Searches / mo Low bid High bid Competition
vertigo specialist singapore 50 S$2.34 S$9.08 High
neurologist singapore 880 S$1.98 S$9.06 Medium
best neurosurgeon in singapore 110 S$2.12 S$7.75 High
migraine specialist singapore 90 S$1.55 S$7.65 Low
headache specialist singapore 70 S$2.56 S$7.18 Medium
recommended neurologist singapore 170 S$1.56 S$7.01 Medium
top 10 neurologist in singapore 260 S$1.37 S$4.00 Medium

The priciest terms are where a symptom meets a specialist: vertigo, migraine and headache, alongside “neurologist singapore” itself at S$9.06 for 880 searches a month. Complex conditions such as stroke, epilepsy, Parkinson’s and dementia barely register as paid searches. Those patients are usually referred by a GP or hospital rather than finding a neurologist through Google.

Neurology demand is flat compared with most of the index, with a dip around Chinese New Year. That makes it a good fit for steady, always-on SEO rather than seasonal campaigns.

Neurology searches Google won’t show data for

We check the core neurology terms by exact match every month:

Neurology searches Google won't show data for — Neurology Google Ads CPC in Singapore: October 2026 Data
Search term Keyword Planner, October 2026
neurologist singapore 880 searches, S$1.98–S$9.06
neurosurgeon singapore No data returned
migraine specialist singapore 90 searches, S$1.55–S$7.65

“neurosurgeon singapore” returned no data in October 2026, while ranking-style variants such as “best neurosurgeon in singapore” (S$7.75) do. Neurosurgical practices can bid on the head term but can’t size it from Keyword Planner.

What patients search vs what your neurology ads can say

Neurology practices are licensees under the Healthcare Services Act, so their advertising falls under the HCS (Advertisement) Regulations 2021 and the Singapore Medical Council’s ethical code. Patients ask for rankings:

These are the words patients type. Under the HCS (Advertisement) Regulations, a licensee’s ad copy cannot repeat most of them.
Searcher modifier Keywords Searches / mo Avg high bid Examples
“best” 1 110 S$7.75 best neurosurgeon in singapore
“top” 2 290 S$4.34 top 10 neurologist in singapore, top neurologist in singapore

“Top [specialty] doctor”, “best”, “leading” and “highly experienced” are on MOH’s list of terms likely to be treated as laudatory, and they’re prohibited in a licensee’s advertising even when they’re true. In practice:

  • Turn off dynamic keyword insertion on ad groups containing “best” or “top”, so Google can’t write those words into your headline.
  • No results promises. “Migraine-free in 4 weeks” or “stop your vertigo in one session” create unjustified expectations.
  • No unnamed comparisons, testimonials or promotions. MOH’s November 2024 FAQ confirms comparisons count even without naming a competitor. Reviews can’t be reproduced in ads, and discounts or “free” offers count as soliciting.

MOH’s FAQ also says SEO “is not considered as advertising”, while SEM is governed by the regulations. A neurologist can rank organically for “top neurologist in singapore” without making that claim in their own copy.

Ads vs SEO for a neurology practice

If one practice ranked first organically for every keyword in this dataset, the clicks would be worth roughly S$2,120 a month in equivalent Google Ads spend. The bigger prize is the symptom content that sits before these searches: headaches, dizziness, numbness and memory concerns.

Ads vs SEO for a neurology practice — Neurology Google Ads CPC in Singapore: October 2026 Data
  • Google Ads for symptom-plus-specialist terms such as migraine, headache and vertigo, sent to factual condition pages with the doctor’s qualifications and exact consultation fees.
  • SEO for recommendation searches and symptoms. Strong doctor profiles, genuine Google reviews and clear condition pages are how a practice appears for “recommended neurologist” searches without breaching the rules.

Forecast CPCs run above today’s top-of-page range because they model an advertiser who outbids the field for the top position.

Methodology

How this index is built. Every month we pull Google Ads Keyword Planner data through the Google Ads API for Singapore (English, Google Search network). We seed each medical vertical with its core treatment terms, then:

  • Collapse close variants. Keyword Planner reports “boob job singapore” and “breast implant singapore” with identical numbers. We count them once.
  • Drop navigational searches. Clinic and hospital brand names are excluded, along with anything under 30 searches a month.
  • Report the top-of-page bid range (low and high) in SGD. Our headline “CPC” is the volume-weighted high end: what it typically takes to show above the organic results.
  • Probe restricted terms by exact match to record where Google withholds data or gives no bid estimate.

Top-of-page bids are Google’s forecasts, not any one clinic’s actual cost per click. Quality Score, ad schedule, device and competition on the day move real CPCs above or below this range. Use the index to compare treatments and verticals, not to set a single bid.
