Updated October 2026. Accounting and corporate secretarial services are among the more expensive industries in our Singapore Google Ads CPC Index. Across 54 deduplicated keywords, the volume-weighted top-of-page bid is S$31.14, ranking the sector #3 of the 22 industries we track. The reason is simple: a new company that signs up for incorporation often stays for years of bookkeeping, tax and secretarial work.

The data comes from the Google Ads API (Keyword Planner, Singapore, English), analysed by Marketing Agency Singapore and refreshed monthly. Below: costs by service, the priciest searches, seasonality, and what ACRA’s rules mean for your ads.

Accounting CPC by service

Keywords grouped by service, with bids weighted by search volume.

Volume-weighted averages across 54 deduplicated keywords. October 2026 snapshot.
Treatment / service Keywords Searches / mo Top-of-page bid (low–high) Most-searched keyword
Payroll services 2 350 S$13.56–S$92.05 payroll services singapore
Corporate secretarial 7 1,490 S$6.86–S$50.04 company secretary services singapore
Company incorporation 11 6,400 S$6.38–S$34.97 register company singapore
Bookkeeping & accounting 18 3,280 S$5.04–S$22.66 accounting services singapore
Tax & GST 5 580 S$1.77–S$13.36 gst registration singapore
Audit 10 1,930 S$3.47–S$12.62 audit firm singapore

Why the order looks like this:

  • The first engagement opens a long relationship. The priciest service group this month is Payroll services, at S$92.05, but the bigger story is incorporation. Incorporation and secretarial clients usually need annual filings, a company secretary and often bookkeeping, so firms bid on the entry service to win the whole bundle. “company incorporation singapore” runs at S$50.52 at the high end.
  • Foreign founders are valuable clients. “register company in singapore for foreigner” is at S$74.77. Overseas founders typically also need a nominee director and a registered address, which raises the value of each client.
  • Audit is cheaper per click. “audit firm singapore” is at S$18.45. Audit clients are typically won through referrals and tenders rather than search.

register company in sg 1,300 S$5.78 S$37.72 Medium
singapore accounting 110 S$7.26 S$32.69 Medium

Incorporation and corporate secretarial terms fill the top of the list, along with outsourced payroll. The high-volume “register company in sg” (1,300 searches a month) is cheaper than the service-specific terms likely because many of those searchers plan to register the company themselves.

What businesses search vs what your firm’s ads can say

These are the words customers type. Check the advertising rules below before repeating them in ad copy.
Searcher modifier Keywords Searches / mo Avg high bid Examples
“best” 1 30 S$37.89 best corporate secretarial services singapore
“top” 5 330 S$10.26 top accounting firms in singapore, top 10 audit firm in singapore, top 20 audit firm in singapore
“cheapest / lowest price” 1 70 S$47.63 cheapest corporate secretary singapore

Two sets of rules matter here, depending on what your firm does. These points are taken from primary sources:

What businesses search vs what your firm's ads can say — Accounting & Corporate Secretarial Google Ads CPC in Singapore: October 2026 Data
  • Public accountants: no exaggerated claims or disparaging comparisons. Under R115.2 of ACRA’s Code of Professional Conduct and Ethics (in the Accountants (Prescribed Standards and Code of Professional Conduct and Ethics) Order 2023), a public accountant marketing their services must not make “exaggerated claims” about their services, qualifications or experience, or “disparaging references or unsubstantiated comparisons to the work of others”. “Singapore’s best auditors” or “half the price of the Big Four” are exactly what this rules out.
  • Low fees are allowed, contingent audit fees are not. The same Code says quoting a fee lower than another public accountant “is not in itself unethical”, but a firm must not charge a contingent fee for an audit engagement. Never advertise “pay only if…” pricing for audits.
  • Corporate services need ACRA registration. The Corporate Service Providers Act 2024 took effect on 9 June 2025. Section 7(1) says a person must not carry on a business of providing corporate services unless registered for that type of service. According to ACRA, that covers incorporation, registered and virtual office addresses, nominee directors and shareholders, company secretary roles and filing ACRA transactions. Ads for those services are ads for a regulated service.
  • Everything else. Bookkeeping and tax firms without a public accountant aren’t bound by the Code above, but the ASAS advertising code still requires factual claims to be substantiated and comparisons to be fair. Google’s misrepresentation policy bans implying ACRA endorsement, and its pricing rules require the full cost, including government fees, to be clear. “S$0 incorporation” with ACRA fees added later fails both.

This is a summary for marketers, not legal advice. Check the source wording, or with a lawyer, before running a specific claim.

Ads vs SEO for an accounting firm

If one firm ranked first organically for every keyword we track, the clicks would be worth roughly S$64,745 a month in equivalent Google Ads spend. Because so many of these clicks cost tens of dollars each, accounting is a strong case for SEO. A clear guide to incorporating a Singapore company, a transparent pricing page and service pages for foreign founders can rank for searches that would otherwise cost S$50.52 a click.

  • Google Ads for incorporation and secretarial packages, with itemised pricing that shows government fees.
  • SEO for “how to” and comparison content that founders read before choosing a provider.

Forecast CPCs run above today’s top-of-page range because they model an advertiser who outbids the field for the top position.

Methodology

How this index is built. Every month we pull Google Ads Keyword Planner data through the Google Ads API for Singapore (English, Google Search network). We seed each industry with its core service terms, then:

  • Collapse close variants. Keyword Planner often reports close variants (singular and plural, reordered words) with identical numbers. We count them once.
  • Drop navigational searches. Brand and company names are excluded, along with anything under 30 searches a month.
  • Report the top-of-page bid range (low and high) in SGD. Our headline “CPC” is the volume-weighted high end: what it typically takes to show above the organic results.
  • Probe restricted terms by exact match to record where Google withholds data or gives no bid estimate.

Top-of-page bids are Google’s forecasts, not any one advertiser’s actual cost per click. Quality Score, ad schedule, device and competition on the day move real CPCs above or below this range. Use the index to compare services and industries, not to set a single bid.

Do incorporation and corporate secretarial providers need to be registered?

Yes. Since 9 June 2025, the Corporate Service Providers Act 2024 requires businesses providing corporate services such as incorporation, registered addresses and nominee directors to register with ACRA.
