Updated October 2026. Weddings are one of the cheapest industries to advertise in on Google in Singapore. Across 92 deduplicated wedding keywords, the volume-weighted top-of-page bid is S$2.97. That ranks weddings #20 of 22 industries in Marketing Agency Singapore’s Singapore Google Ads CPC Index. A wedding is still one of the largest purchases a couple makes. Cheap clicks and an expensive customer: that gap is what this page is about.

The data comes straight from the Google Ads API (Keyword Planner, Singapore, English) and is refreshed every month. Below: what each part of the wedding market costs to advertise, the most expensive searches, how demand moves through the year, and the pricing rules that trip up wedding ads most often.

Venues & banquets 40 4,590 S$1.48–S$2.77 solemnisation venue singapore
Bridal studios & gowns 6 1,890 S$0.48–S$2.55 rent gown singapore

The spread between groups is narrow. The priciest group this month, Photography & video, sits at S$3.85. Compare that with the S$30-plus clicks in industries such as accounting or B2B software. Three things keep wedding bids low:

  • Many couples start on Instagram, Xiaohongshu and wedding forums. Google is usually where they check a name they have already seen, not where they discover vendors. Fewer advertisers chase the generic terms.
  • Wedding fairs and bridal shows still do the heavy lifting. Many studios and venues put their acquisition budget into fair booths and packages rather than search.
  • Lots of small vendors, few deep pockets. Photographers, makeup artists and gown rental shops are often one- or two-person businesses with small, capped budgets.

pre wedding photo singapore 210 S$1.08 S$3.56 Medium
bridal makeup singapore 90 S$0.95 S$3.51 Medium

The top of the list is niche rather than generic: specific gown rentals, community-specific planners and venues, and videography. The big head term, “wedding venue singapore”, gets 2,400 searches a month at a high bid of only S$3.20. “wedding photographer singapore” sits at S$4.34. A couple’s total spend runs into tens of thousands of dollars, so even a low conversion rate pays back at these prices. In wedding search, the bigger risk is usually the landing page, not the bid.

Wedding searches typically rise around the turn of the year, when many couples get engaged over the holidays and start planning, and dip around Chinese New Year. Popular dates and venues are often booked a year or more ahead, so the venue search happens well before the wedding itself. If you run ads, front-load budget into the January planning surge. If you’re investing in SEO, publish venue, package and pricing pages in the second half of the year so they’re ranking by then.

What couples search vs what your ads can say

There is no wedding-specific advertising law in Singapore. Wedding ads fall under general consumer law, mainly the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act (CPFTA), the price transparency guidance issued by Singapore’s competition and consumer regulator (CCS, formerly CCCS), and the self-regulatory Singapore Code of Advertising Practice (SCAP). These are the words couples search with:

Searcher modifier Keywords Searches / mo Avg high bid Examples
“best” 3 270 S$2.76 best wedding venues singapore, best wedding photographer singapore, best wedding planner in singapore

Unlike clinics, wedding vendors aren’t barred from using “best”. Under the SCAP, though, any factual claim must be capable of substantiation. The rules that catch wedding ads most often are about price:

  • Drip pricing. CCS’s price transparency guidelines say “any unavoidable or mandatory charges (e.g. taxes, surcharges, service fees, etc.)” should be in the headline price, or disclosed clearly and prominently next to it. For banquets, “$988 per table” with the service charge, GST, a weekend surcharge or a minimum-table rule shown only in small print is exactly what the guidance targets. The SCAP also says “All prices should include GST where it applies”.
  • “Free” extras. “Free pre-wedding shoot” or “free bridal car” offers must state their conditions clearly, next to the word “free”. Under the SCAP, the cost of a free item can’t be recovered by inflating the package it comes with.
  • Fair-only prices. Under CPFTA Second Schedule item 20, representing a discount as available for a stated period when you know it will run for substantially longer is an unfair practice. A “this weekend only” fair price that is still on offer next month qualifies. The SCAP’s was/now rule also requires the higher price to have been charged for 28 consecutive days in the previous six months.
  • Portfolio photos. The SCAP says ads should not portray a person “unless his prior permission has been obtained”. Using other studios’ work or stock images as your own portfolio misrepresents your service.

The CPFTA works through consumer civil claims and court injunctions sought by CCS, not criminal fines. A breach can still end in a public injunction. Influencer posts about your venue or studio must be labelled as sponsored (#adv, #sp or #sponsored are the accepted short forms under ASAS’s social-media guidelines). This is a practical summary, not legal advice.

Ads vs SEO for wedding vendors

If one vendor ranked first organically for every keyword in this dataset, the clicks would be worth roughly S$8,124 a month in equivalent Google Ads spend. That’s a modest number, because wedding clicks are cheap. The case for SEO in weddings is less about saving ad spend and more about trust. Couples compare vendors over weeks, read reviews and look for real pricing. A detailed package and pricing page that ranks for “wedding banquet price singapore” does work that a short ad can’t.

A practical split:

  • Google Ads for intent you can price, such as venue and photography searches, with all-in prices and conditions stated upfront.
  • SEO for the research phase: venue guides, pricing breakdowns, real-wedding portfolios (with permission) and Google Business Profile reviews.

Forecast CPCs run above today’s top-of-page range because they model an advertiser who outbids the field for the top position.

Month-on-month changes

October 2026 is the first snapshot of this index. From next month this section shows which keywords got more or less expensive.

Methodology

How this index is built. Every month we pull Google Ads Keyword Planner data through the Google Ads API for Singapore (English, Google Search network). We seed each industry with its core service terms, then:

  • Collapse close variants. Keyword Planner often reports close variants (singular and plural, reordered words) with identical numbers. We count them once.
  • Drop navigational searches. Brand and company names are excluded, along with anything under 30 searches a month.
  • Report the top-of-page bid range (low and high) in SGD. Our headline “CPC” is the volume-weighted high end: what it typically takes to show above the organic results.
  • Probe restricted terms by exact match to record where Google withholds data or gives no bid estimate.

Top-of-page bids are Google’s forecasts, not any one advertiser’s actual cost per click. Quality Score, ad schedule, device and competition on the day move real CPCs above or below this range. Use the index to compare services and industries, not to set a single bid.

How much does a wedding click cost on Google Ads in Singapore?

In October 2026, Singapore wedding keywords averaged S$1.30–S$2.97 across Google’s top-of-page bid range, weighted by search volume. The priciest individual term with meaningful volume was “mother gown rental singapore” at S$8.67.

Can a wedding venue advertise a price without service charge and GST?

It’s risky. CCS’s price transparency guidelines expect mandatory charges such as service charge and GST in the headline price, or disclosed clearly and prominently next to it. The SCAP says advertised prices should include GST where it applies. “From $X++ per table” with the “++” spelt out alongside is the minimum; a nett price is safer.

Is there a cooling-off period for wedding packages signed at a wedding fair?

Don’t assume one. Singapore’s 5-working-day cancellation right under the CPFTA (Cancellation of Contracts) Regulations covers direct sales made during unsolicited visits to a consumer’s home or workplace. Packages signed at a vendor’s booth generally fall outside that definition, unless the vendor offers its own cancellation terms.
