Cleaning CPC by job type
Keywords grouped by job, with bids weighted by search volume.
| Treatment / service | Keywords | Searches / mo | Top-of-page bid (low–high) | Most-searched keyword |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Office & commercial | 8 | 1,430 | S$7.11–S$21.12 | office cleaning singapore |
| Sofa, mattress & carpet | 24 | 3,790 | S$5.72–S$16.13 | mattress cleaning singapore |
| Post-renovation & move-in | 11 | 1,920 | S$5.46–S$12.87 | post renovation cleaning singapore |
| Part-time & house cleaning | 18 | 14,490 | S$3.69–S$10.85 | home cleaning singapore |
| Cleaning searches (general) | 40 | 5,870 | S$3.52–S$9.59 | rug cleaning singapore |
| Deep & window cleaning | 11 | 2,160 | S$3.24–S$8.74 | deep cleaning services singapore |
What drives the order:
- Commercial contracts are worth more. “office cleaning singapore” sits at S$22.03, more than double “cleaning services singapore” (S$9.41). An office contract is recurring revenue, and fewer, licensed firms compete for it.
- Specialist cleaning is next. Sofa, mattress, carpet and curtain cleaning need equipment and command higher job values, so bids sit above general home cleaning.
- Home cleaning is volume. “part time cleaner singapore” (1,300 searches a month, S$8.47) and similar searches carry most of the demand, with many small operators and platforms bidding.

Cleaning search demand by month
Total monthly searches for the tracked cleaning services keywords. Peak: January 2026 (37,980); low: August 2026 (24,320).
Cleaning demand peaks ahead of Chinese New Year, when households book spring cleaning, and is steadier through the rest of the year. Home-cleaning firms should front-load budget in December and January; commercial cleaners can run steadier campaigns year-round.
What customers search vs what your ads can say
| Searcher modifier | Keywords | Searches / mo | Avg high bid | Examples |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| “best” | 11 | 960 | S$10.54 | best cleaning company singapore, best post renovation cleaning singapore, best deep cleaning services singapore |
| “top” | 2 | 350 | S$7.14 | top 10 cleaning company in singapore, top cleaning companies in singapore |
| “cheapest / lowest price” | 1 | 70 | S$12.02 | cheapest curtain cleaning singapore |
Cleaning has a licensing rule for commercial work but no cleaning-specific advertising rule. What applies:

- Licence for non-domestic cleaning. NEA’s Cleaning Business Licence is required for any business offering non-domestic general cleaning, such as offices and condominium common areas. Cleaning private homes is exempt. Operating without a licence carries a fine of up to S$10,000, according to NEA’s FAQ. We found no NEA rule on advertising itself, so “NEA-licensed” claims simply need to be true and current.
- Hourly prices with conditions. CCS’s price transparency guidelines say unavoidable fees belong in the headline price. A “$15/hr” headline with a hidden four-hour minimum or transport fee is the typical problem, and hiding material facts in small print is an unfair practice under the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act.
- Real before-and-after photos only. Unlike healthcare, cleaning firms can show results, but the ASAS advertising code says ads should not manipulate images to create a misleading presentation, and guarantees must state their period.
- Genuine reviews. CCS has published a list of businesses that admitted procuring fake reviews. Never buy or incentivise reviews.
This is a practitioner summary, not legal advice.
Ads vs SEO for a cleaning company
If one firm ranked first organically for every keyword here, the clicks would be worth roughly S$58,978 a month in equivalent ad spend. A practical split:
- Google Ads for commercial and specialist jobs, where the contract value carries the higher bids. Show the licence class on B2B landing pages.
- SEO and local search for home cleaning. Clear hourly and package pricing with minimums stated, plus estate-level local pages, win the high-volume residential searches at lower cost.

Methodology
How this index is built. Every month we pull Google Ads Keyword Planner data through the Google Ads API for Singapore (English, Google Search network). We seed each industry with its core service terms, then:
- Collapse close variants. Keyword Planner often reports close variants (singular and plural, reordered words) with identical numbers. We count them once.
- Drop navigational searches. Brand and company names are excluded, along with anything under 30 searches a month.
- Report the top-of-page bid range (low and high) in SGD. Our headline “CPC” is the volume-weighted high end: what it typically takes to show above the organic results.
- Probe restricted terms by exact match to record where Google withholds data or gives no bid estimate.
Top-of-page bids are Google’s forecasts, not any one advertiser’s actual cost per click. Quality Score, ad schedule, device and competition on the day move real CPCs above or below this range. Use the index to compare services and industries, not to set a single bid.
