Updated October 2026. Veterinary care is the only non-human vertical in our Singapore Medical CPC Index, and it holds its own. Across 163 deduplicated vet keywords, the volume-weighted top-of-page bid is S$7.69, ranking #10 of 15 verticals. For comparison, dental averages S$6.52 and GP clinics S$4.58.
The data comes straight from the Google Ads API (Keyword Planner, Singapore, English) and is refreshed every month. Below: which vet services cost the most to advertise, the most expensive searches, how demand moves, and how a vet practice should split its budget between ads and SEO.
*Searches × 25% assumed #1 organic click-through × midpoint of Google’s top-of-page bid range. Data: Google Ads Keyword Planner, Singapore, English, October 2026.
Vet CPC by service
Keywords grouped by service, with bids weighted by search volume.
| Treatment / service | Keywords | Searches / mo | Top-of-page bid (low–high) | Most-searched keyword |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| "Best vet" searches | 1 | 170 | S$2.37–S$16.00 | best vet in singapore |
| Emergency & 24-hour vets | 7 | 1,180 | S$4.10–S$13.76 | 24 hr vet singapore |
| Vet clinic searches | 136 | 22,750 | S$1.77–S$7.38 | monster vet singapore |
| Exotic pet vets | 4 | 320 | S$1.17–S$3.62 | bird vet singapore |
What drives the order:
- Urgency is priced in. “emergency vet singapore” sits at S$16.10 and “24 hr vet singapore” at S$13.46. An owner searching at 2am with a sick dog will call the first clinic that’s open. Few practices run 24-hour services, and each emergency case carries a high bill for diagnostics, overnight care and sometimes surgery. That combination keeps emergency bids near the top of the vertical.
- Owners search for a recommendation, not just a clinic. “best vet in singapore” attracts a high-end bid of S$16.00. Pet owners shop around for a long-term vet more carefully than many patients choose a GP.
- The routine bucket is huge. Most vet search volume sits in plain clinic searches: “vet singapore” (880 a month), “vet sg”, “pet clinic” and dozens of estate-level variants. Individually they’re mid-priced. Together they’re the bulk of the market, and it’s the market where map-pack position, opening hours and reviews decide who gets the call.
- Exotic pets are a cheap niche. Bird, rabbit and reptile vet searches have low bids. Few clinics specialise, and fewer advertise, so the specialists that do can win these clicks cheaply.
The most expensive vet keywords in Singapore
| Keyword | Searches / mo | Low bid | High bid | Competition |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| emergency vet singapore | 390 | S$4.34 | S$16.10 | High |
| best vet in singapore | 170 | S$2.37 | S$16.00 | High |
| vet bedok | 390 | S$2.94 | S$15.99 | High |
| singapore veterinary animal clinic | 70 | S$1.54 | S$15.99 | Medium |
| animal clinic singapore | 110 | S$2.18 | S$15.99 | High |
| vet sg | 590 | S$2.52 | S$14.07 | Medium |
| clinic for pets singapore | 90 | S$2.22 | S$14.06 | Medium |
| vet singapore near me | 140 | S$2.23 | S$13.99 | High |
| pet clinic singapore | 210 | S$2.59 | S$13.81 | High |
| 24 hr vet singapore | 480 | S$4.37 | S$13.46 | High |
| vet singapore | 880 | S$2.65 | S$12.10 | High |
| veterinary clinic singapore | 390 | S$2.33 | S$12.09 | Medium |
| pet hospital singapore | 170 | S$2.69 | S$11.10 | High |
| 24 hour vet singapore near me | 170 | S$3.54 | S$10.99 | High |
| vet clinic singapore | 880 | S$2.61 | S$10.73 | High |
Generic “vet” and “animal clinic” searches dominate the list, and many sit at almost the same bid. That usually means a few well-funded practices are setting the price across a whole cluster of near-identical keywords. Estate-level searches like “vet bedok” follow, because pet owners, like parents, choose a clinic near home. Some rows in the full dataset are practice names. Keyword Planner groups them with the category, so treat them as a sign of competition rather than terms to target.

Vet search demand by month
Total monthly searches for the tracked veterinary keywords. Peak: August 2026 (34,310); low: February 2026 (22,580).
Vet demand is broadly stable, with occasional spikes. We can’t see the cause from Keyword Planner. Spikes may reflect news coverage, adoption drives or school holidays, when families bring new animals home. Because demand isn’t seasonal in the way dental or aesthetics demand is, vet clinics can run steady always-on campaigns rather than seasonal bursts.
Vet searches Google won’t show data for
| Search term | Keyword Planner, October 2026 |
|---|---|
| vet singapore | 880 searches, S$2.65–S$12.10 |
| 24 hour vet singapore | 480 searches, S$4.37–S$13.46 |
Unlike several human-health verticals, vet terms aren’t withheld. Keyword Planner gives full data for “vet singapore” and “24 hour vet singapore”, so a practice can plan campaigns from real numbers.

What owners search vs what your ads can say
Veterinary clinics are not human healthcare, and the Healthcare Services Act and its advertising regulations don’t apply to them. The HCSA’s strict bans (no laudatory terms, no testimonials in ads, no discount wording) are rules for human-health licensees. They aren’t vet rules.
That doesn’t mean anything goes. Vet ads still fall under Singapore’s general advertising standards on truthful, substantiated claims and on testimonials. See our guides to advertising claims in Singapore and testimonial advertising rules. Check your licence conditions and any professional guidance for veterinarians before making clinical claims.
| Searcher modifier | Keywords | Searches / mo | Avg high bid | Examples |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| “best” | 1 | 170 | S$16.00 | best vet in singapore |
The “best vet” searches are the interesting row. A vet clinic has more room than a human clinic to answer that search, but an unsubstantiated “best” claim is still a risk under general advertising standards. Real owner reviews on your Google Business Profile, plus a strong local ranking, answer the search more convincingly.
Ads vs SEO for a vet clinic
If one practice ranked first organically for every keyword in this dataset, the clicks would be worth roughly S$30,773 a month in equivalent Google Ads spend.

- Google Ads for emergency and after-hours care, if you offer it. The bids are high, but so is the case value, and the patient needs you now. Schedule these ads for the hours you’re actually open and staffed.
- SEO for everything routine. Vaccinations, sterilisation, dental cleaning and general check-ups. Owners plan these, compare clinics and read reviews. Location pages, an active Google Business Profile and pet-care content win these searches over time without paying for each click.

Methodology
How this index is built. Every month we pull Google Ads Keyword Planner data through the Google Ads API for Singapore (English, Google Search network). We seed each medical vertical with its core treatment terms, then:
- Collapse close variants. Keyword Planner reports “boob job singapore” and “breast implant singapore” with identical numbers. We count them once.
- Drop navigational searches. Clinic and hospital brand names are excluded, along with anything under 30 searches a month.
- Report the top-of-page bid range (low and high) in SGD. Our headline “CPC” is the volume-weighted high end: what it typically takes to show above the organic results.
- Probe restricted terms by exact match to record where Google withholds data or shows no bids.
Top-of-page bids are Google’s forecasts, not any one clinic’s actual cost per click. Quality Score, ad schedule, device and competition on the day move real CPCs above or below this range. Use the index to compare treatments and verticals, not to set a single bid.

No. The Healthcare Services Act and its advertising regulations cover human healthcare services. Vet clinics still have to follow general advertising standards on truthful, substantiated claims and testimonials, plus any conditions attached to their licence.
Why are emergency vet keywords so expensive?
Few clinics offer 24-hour care, emergency cases carry high bills, and owners searching in a crisis usually call the first open clinic they see. Those three factors push “emergency vet singapore” to S$16.10 at the high end.
Can a vet clinic call itself the best vet in Singapore?
HCSA doesn’t apply to vets, but an unsubstantiated “best” claim can still breach general advertising standards on truthful claims. Let owner reviews and local rankings answer “best vet” searches, and keep ad copy to facts: services, hours, location and fees.
