Updated October 2026. Physiotherapy is one of the steadiest search markets in Singapore healthcare. “physiotherapy singapore” alone gets 4,400 searches a month, and demand barely moves with the seasons. Across 34 deduplicated physiotherapy, podiatry and sports-massage keywords, the volume-weighted top-of-page bid is S$9.36. That ranks physio #8 of the 15 verticals in our Singapore Medical CPC Index.
The data comes straight from the Google Ads API (Keyword Planner, Singapore, English) and is refreshed every month. Below: what each service costs to advertise, the most expensive searches, the monthly demand curve, and why the ad rules for physiotherapy and chiropractic work differently from those for clinics.
*Searches × 25% assumed #1 organic click-through × midpoint of Google’s top-of-page bid range. Data: Google Ads Keyword Planner, Singapore, English, October 2026.
Physiotherapy CPC by service
Keywords grouped by service, with bids weighted by search volume. A keyword searched 4,000 times counts for more than one searched 50 times.
| Treatment / service | Keywords | Searches / mo | Top-of-page bid (low–high) | Most-searched keyword |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Home physiotherapy | 1 | 170 | S$2.56–S$14.69 | home physio singapore |
| Physiotherapy (general) | 16 | 5,870 | S$3.26–S$10.47 | physiotherapy singapore |
| Podiatry | 9 | 3,340 | S$2.95–S$9.66 | podiatrist singapore |
| Shockwave therapy | 1 | 260 | S$2.61–S$8.18 | shockwave therapy singapore |
| Sports massage | 7 | 1,890 | S$1.83–S$5.08 | sports massage singapore |
What drives the order:
- Convenience commands a premium. This month the priciest group is Home physiotherapy at S$14.69, and “home physio singapore” is S$14.69 at the high end. Home physio usually serves post-surgery, stroke and elderly patients, whose families will pay for a therapist to come to them, and who often commit to a course of sessions rather than one visit. Few providers offer it, but those that do bid hard.
- A course of treatment, not a single visit. General physiotherapy terms such as “physio clinic singapore” (S$12.00) are priced on the value of a multi-session rehab plan. A knee or back patient who books once often returns six or eight times. That lifetime value supports a higher click cost than the first-visit fee would suggest.
- Sports massage is a different market. “sports massage singapore” (S$5.06) gets plenty of searches but draws massage studios and gyms as well as clinics. Patients see it as a one-off, lower-priced service, and the bids reflect that.
The most expensive physiotherapy keywords in Singapore
| Keyword | Searches / mo | Low bid | High bid | Competition |
|---|---|---|---|---|

| podiatry clinic singapore | 110 | S$3.77 | S$14.29 | Medium |
| physiotherapy tanjong pagar | 50 | S$4.16 | S$13.60 | High |
| physio clinic singapore | 480 | S$3.12 | S$12.00 | Low |
| physiotherapy singapore | 4,400 | S$3.44 | S$11.02 | High |
| best physiotherapy singapore | 260 | S$3.44 | S$10.04 | High |
| podiatrist singapore | 2,900 | S$3.07 | S$9.77 | High |
| affordable podiatrist singapore | 50 | S$1.98 | S$9.42 | High |
| podiatrist yishun | 50 | S$1.91 | S$8.67 | Medium |
| affordable physiotherapy singapore | 50 | S$3.01 | S$8.43 | High |
| shockwave therapy singapore | 260 | S$2.61 | S$8.18 | High |
| podiatrist tampines | 70 | S$1.43 | S$6.29 | High |
| best sports massage singapore | 90 | S$1.92 | S$5.59 | High |
| sports massage singapore | 1,600 | S$1.84 | S$5.06 | High |
| sports massage tampines | 70 | S$1.44 | S$4.89 | High |
The top of this list mixes two kinds of intent. Service-type searches (home physio, podiatry clinic) come from patients who already know what they need. Location searches in the CBD, such as “physiotherapy tanjong pagar”, come from office workers fitting appointments around their working day. Some of the rows further down are practice names, which Keyword Planner groups with the category. Treat those as a sign of competition, not as keywords to target.

Podiatry is worth a close look. “podiatrist singapore” gets 2,900 searches a month at S$9.77 at the high end, which is a large share of physiotherapy’s head-term demand, served by a much smaller pool of providers. Foot pain, diabetic foot care and running injuries all feed it.
Physiotherapy search demand by month
Total monthly searches for the tracked physiotherapy & chiropractic keywords. Peak: March 2026 (13,270); low: December 2025 (10,500).
Physio demand is unusually flat. There’s a dip around Chinese New Year and year-end, and small peaks when people return to exercise and when sports seasons start. That stability makes physiotherapy a good fit for SEO. A ranking page earns roughly the same traffic every month, so the return compounds instead of chasing seasonal spikes.
Physio searches Google won’t show data for
We check the core terms by exact match every month:

| Search term | Keyword Planner, October 2026 |
|---|---|
| physiotherapy singapore | 4,400 searches, S$3.44–S$11.02 |
| chiropractor singapore | No data returned |
| podiatrist singapore | 2,900 searches, S$3.07–S$9.77 |
“chiropractor singapore” returned no data from Keyword Planner in October 2026, and no chiropractic keyword in our seed set cleared the threshold. This vertical carries “chiropractic” in its name, but Google won’t size that market for advertisers. A chiropractic practice planning a Google Ads budget is working without the numbers every other vertical gets. Its own Search Console data and organic rankings are the only reliable demand signal.
What patients search vs what your ads can say
Here physiotherapy, chiropractic and podiatry differ sharply from clinics. MOH’s FAQ on the HCS (Advertisement) Regulations states that the Regulations do not cover non-licensable healthcare services, and names physiotherapy and chiropractic as examples. That isn’t a free pass. According to the same FAQ, advertising for these services falls under other law, such as the Medicines (Advertisement and Sale) Act. Section 4 of that Act prohibits publishing any advertisement referring to any skill or service relating to the treatment of any ailment, disease, injury, infirmity or condition affecting the human body.
Read literally, that is broader than the clinic rules. The searches with the clearest intent name a condition: knee pain, back pain, frozen shoulder, plantar fasciitis. Ad copy such as “Physio for knee pain, book today” refers to a service for treating an injury. Before writing condition-led ads, check with a lawyer and the Allied Health Professions Council’s guidance. Physiotherapy clinics run inside a licensed medical clinic may also be covered by the HCS rules, so confirm which regime applies to your premises.
Patients still search with praise words:
| Searcher modifier | Keywords | Searches / mo | Avg high bid | Examples |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| “best” | 2 | 350 | S$8.90 | best physiotherapy singapore, best sports massage singapore |
Whichever regime applies, the practical advice is the same. Keep ad copy factual: services offered, location, opening hours, qualifications and exact prices. Leave condition-led education to organic content, such as articles explaining what causes runner’s knee and how physiotherapy approaches it. An informational page has room for nuance that a 90-character ad doesn’t, and it ranks for the condition searches patients actually type.
Ads vs SEO for a physiotherapy practice
If one practice ranked first organically for every keyword in this dataset, the clicks would be worth roughly S$17,687 a month in equivalent Google Ads spend. That’s a ceiling, not a forecast. For physiotherapy it’s an unusually reliable one, because demand is so even across the year.

- Google Ads for high-value services in your catchment. Home physio, podiatry and branch-level searches, with factual copy and exact pricing.
- SEO for conditions and locations. Condition pages (knee, back, shoulder, foot) and one page per branch, each with a fully optimised Google Business Profile so you appear in the map pack for “physio + estate” searches. See our local SEO services.
Our multi-location clinic local SEO case study shows the location-page approach: all four branches reached the map pack for their priority “specialty + area” searches within six months.

Methodology
How this index is built. Every month we pull Google Ads Keyword Planner data through the Google Ads API for Singapore (English, Google Search network). We seed each medical vertical with its core treatment terms, then:
- Collapse close variants. Keyword Planner reports “boob job singapore” and “breast implant singapore” with identical numbers. We count them once.
- Drop navigational searches. Clinic and hospital brand names are excluded, along with anything under 30 searches a month.
- Report the top-of-page bid range (low and high) in SGD. Our headline “CPC” is the volume-weighted high end: what it typically takes to show above the organic results.
- Probe restricted terms by exact match to record where Google withholds data or shows no bids.
Top-of-page bids are Google’s forecasts, not any one clinic’s actual cost per click. Quality Score, ad schedule, device and competition on the day move real CPCs above or below this range. Use the index to compare treatments and verticals, not to set a single bid.

Why is there no Google Ads data for chiropractors?
Keyword Planner returned no data for “chiropractor singapore” in October 2026. Google doesn’t explain withheld terms. Practices can usually still bid, but they can’t forecast volume or cost from Google’s tool, which makes organic search and their own Search Console data more important.
Is SEO worth it for a physiotherapy clinic?
Usually, yes. Physio demand is stable all year, condition searches are hard to address in compliant ad copy, and map-pack rankings capture the “physio near me” intent directly. Read our physiotherapy marketing guide and physiotherapy marketing playbook.
