Updated October 2026. Fertility is the vertical where Google tells you the least. Searches for “ivf singapore” and “iui singapore” returned no data at all from Keyword Planner this month. Only 8 fertility keywords cleared our filters. Across them, the volume-weighted top-of-page bid is S$12.78, ranking fertility #5 of the 15 verticals in our Singapore Medical CPC Index.

That thin dataset is the story. A fertility centre planning its marketing from Google’s own tool sees part of a clinic search, part of the egg-freezing market, and almost none of the IVF demand that drives the business. The data below comes straight from the Google Ads API (Keyword Planner, Singapore, English) and is refreshed every month.

Fertility CPC by service

Keywords grouped by service, with bids weighted by search volume. With this few keywords, each group can rest on one or two searches, so read it as direction rather than a precise benchmark.

Volume-weighted averages across 8 deduplicated keywords. October 2026 snapshot.
Treatment / service Keywords Searches / mo Top-of-page bid (low–high) Most-searched keyword
Fertility clinics & specialists 2 830 S$4.04–S$16.11 fertility clinic singapore
Egg freezing 5 680 S$1.55–S$9.03 egg freezing singapore

What’s driving the prices:

  • Clinic searches carry the intent. “fertility clinic singapore” (S$16.81, 720 searches) is where most couples land after deciding to seek help. In a market where treatment-specific terms are hidden, it’s the main buyable keyword.
  • Egg freezing is a newer, price-led market. Elective egg freezing became available in Singapore in 2023, and searches are heavily cost-led (“egg freezing cost singapore”). Bids for the cost variants sit well below the head term “egg freezing singapore” (S$11.15). Price researchers are earlier in the decision.
  • Public funding shapes private demand. Many couples start at public assisted-reproduction centres, where co-funding and MediSave can apply. Private centres compete for the patients who want shorter waits, a specific doctor or a second opinion. That’s a small, high-value audience.

The most expensive fertility keywords in Singapore

Keywords with 50+ monthly searches in Singapore, ranked by high top-of-page bid. October 2026.
Keyword Searches / mo Low bid High bid Competition
fertility clinic singapore 720 S$4.23 S$16.81 Medium
best fertility clinic singapore 110 S$2.80 S$11.50 High
egg freezing singapore 390 S$1.71 S$11.15 Medium
men fertility test singapore 90 S$3.23 S$10.40 High
egg freezing singapore cost 50 S$1.47 S$6.38 Medium
egg freezing cost singapore 170 S$1.17 S$5.46 Medium

That’s close to the full list of fertility keywords with 50+ monthly searches that Keyword Planner will show. Male fertility appears as a small but bid-on segment (“men fertility test singapore”, S$10.40), while “sperm test singapore” itself returns no data. The pattern repeats across the vertical: the plain clinical term is withheld, and a phrasing next to it gets through.

Total monthly searches for the tracked fertility & ivf keywords. Peak: March 2026 (2,330); low: December 2025 (1,190).

With volumes this small, monthly swings are noisy. A single news story, an egg-freezing policy update or a clinic launch can move the total. Treat the chart as a sense of scale. Fertility decisions are made over months, not days, so a website that is consistently visible throughout that research period counts for more than any seasonal push.

Fertility searches Google won’t show data for

We check the core fertility terms by exact match every month:

Fertility searches Google won't show data for — Fertility & IVF Google Ads CPC in Singapore: October 2026 Data
Search term Keyword Planner, October 2026
ivf singapore No data returned
iui singapore No data returned
egg freezing singapore 390 searches, S$1.71–S$11.15
fertility clinic singapore 720 searches, S$4.23–S$16.81
sperm test singapore No data returned

IVF, IUI and sperm testing all came back empty in October 2026. Google doesn’t publish its reasons. But the pattern matches its wider handling of sensitive health topics, where targeting and data are restricted to protect users. For a fertility centre this has two practical consequences:

  • You can’t size the core market from Keyword Planner. Budget forecasts built on the visible keywords will undercount IVF demand badly.
  • The withheld searches still happen. Patients still type “ivf singapore” into Google, and the organic results and map pack are where they land. A fertility centre’s treatment pages, doctor profiles and explanations of cost and process are the main way to reach that demand.

What patients search vs what your fertility ads can say

Assisted reproduction centres are licensed under the Healthcare Services Act, so their advertising falls under the HCS (Advertisement) Regulations 2021 as well as the Singapore Medical Council’s ethical code.

These are the words patients type. Under the HCS (Advertisement) Regulations, a licensee’s ad copy cannot repeat most of them.
Searcher modifier Keywords Searches / mo Avg high bid Examples
“best” 1 110 S$11.50 best fertility clinic singapore

Fertility marketing is where these rules bite hardest, because the claims patients most want to hear are the ones the regulations restrict:

  • Success rates and outcomes. Claims must be factually accurate and capable of being substantiated. “Highest success rate” is listed by name in MOH’s laudatory terms and is prohibited regardless of accuracy.
  • Baby photos and outcome stories. Patient testimonials can’t be reproduced in advertising, and content that creates unjustified expectations of treatment is prohibited. A newborn photo with “our IVF success story” combines both problems.
  • Packages and promotions. “IVF package”, “promotion”, “free consultation”, time-limited prices and interest-free instalments are all examples MOH gives of soliciting. Exact fees can be listed, but without a prefix such as “from” or “as low as”.
  • Comparisons. Copy that implies better results than other centres, named or not, contravenes the ban on comparing your service with other licensees’.

MOH’s FAQ says SEO itself “is not considered as advertising”, while SEM is regulated as paid advertising. That doesn’t free your website from the rules. It does mean that a careful, factual explanation of what IVF involves in Singapore, written within those rules, can rank for searches no ad can be planned against.

Ads vs SEO for a fertility centre

On the visible keywords alone, ranking first organically would be worth roughly S$3,143 a month in equivalent Google Ads spend. That’s one of the smaller figures in the index, and it’s misleading: it excludes every IVF, IUI and sperm-test search, because Google won’t report them. The real organic opportunity is several times larger and can’t be measured from Keyword Planner.

Ads vs SEO for a fertility centre — Fertility & IVF Google Ads CPC in Singapore: October 2026 Data

A practical split for most fertility centres:

  • Google Ads on the buyable clinic and egg-freezing terms, with factual landing pages listing exact fees, doctors’ registered qualifications and how to book a consultation.
  • SEO for everything Keyword Planner hides. IVF and IUI process pages, costs and funding, male fertility, and doctor profiles that show real expertise. These pages take time to rank. Fertility patients research for months, so they keep paying back.

Month-on-month changes

Methodology

How this index is built. Every month we pull Google Ads Keyword Planner data through the Google Ads API for Singapore (English, Google Search network). We seed each medical vertical with its core treatment terms, then:

  • Collapse close variants. Keyword Planner reports “boob job singapore” and “breast implant singapore” with identical numbers. We count them once.
  • Drop navigational searches. Clinic and hospital brand names are excluded, along with anything under 30 searches a month.
  • Report the top-of-page bid range (low and high) in SGD. Our headline “CPC” is the volume-weighted high end: what it typically takes to show above the organic results.
  • Probe restricted terms by exact match to record where Google withholds data or shows no bids.

Top-of-page bids are Google’s forecasts, not any one clinic’s actual cost per click. Quality Score, ad schedule, device and competition on the day move real CPCs above or below this range. Use the index to compare treatments and verticals, not to set a single bid.

Can a fertility centre advertise its IVF success rate?

Only with great care. Any claim must be factually accurate and capable of being substantiated, and it can’t create unjustified expectations or compare your centre with others. Terms like “highest success rate” are listed by MOH as laudatory and are prohibited outright.

Is SEO worth it for a fertility clinic?

Fertility is one of the clearest cases for it in the index. The core treatment searches can’t be sized in Keyword Planner, patients research for months, and organic pages keep working through that whole period. See our medical SEO guide.
